Back in 1981, our founder, Mr.Ricardo Rodriguez bought an stand up Model 440 1979 Kawasaki Jet Ski, for his personal use. The problem Ricardo faced was that there was no Kawasaki representation in Puerto Rico by that time. Every time he needed to get spare parts, he had to wait several weeks to get them from US.

For the other side, Ricardo noticed great enthusiasm for his new “Toy”, and many people began to inquire about how to get one.

Soon after, Ricardo decided to pursuit Kawasaki representation. The project required perseverance and lots of efforts, but after some years of negotiations with Kawasaki Motors, USA (KMC), and Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) Japan, finally, in 1986, Puerto Rico Jet Ski Center was established and appointed as the only Authorized Kawasaki distributor for Kawasaki Jet Ski in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

The main offices, Showroom, Service Shop, and warehouse were located in Arecibo, and a dealership network was established through the island of Puerto Rico and other neighbor islands in the Caribbean for the distribution of Kawasaki Jet Ski in the assigned territory.

In 1991, after 5 years of successful Jet Ski sales and service, Kawasaki Motors, USA granted the distribution of Kawasaki Full Line to Puerto Rico Jet Ski Center. That same year, Caribbean Kawasaki Corporation was founded and started to distribute and service, not only Kawasaki Jet Skis, but also, Motorcycles, ATV’s, Utility Vehicles, Power Products & Small Engines.

Caribbean Kawasaki has proudly represented Kawasaki prestigious brand in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, since then, and as of today.

En el año 1981,  nuestro fundador, el Sr. Ricardo Rodríguez, compró un Jet Ski 440, Modelo 1979 para su uso personal.

En vista de que en Puerto Rico no había un representante de Kawasaki en ese momento,  Ricardo se enfrentó al reto de conseguir piezas de respuesto para su Jet Ski. En ocasiones tuvo  que esperar semanas para conseguirlas en los Estados Unidos.

Por otro lado, el nuevo “juguete” despertó muchísimo entusiasmo entre todas las personas que lo veaín, y comenzaron a preguntar a Ricardo, donde podían comprar uno igual.

Fue entonces cuando el Sr. Ricardo Rodríguez decidió  solicitar  a Kawasaki,  la Distribución de los Jet Skis, para  Puerto Rico y el Caribe.  No fue un proyecto fácil, y requirió de mucha paciencia, perseverancia y esfuerzo, pero al cabo de varios años de negociaciones con Kawasaki Motors USA (KMC), y Kawasaki Heavy Industries en Japon (KHI), en el 1986 Puerto Rico Jet Ski Center fue nombrado único Distribuidor Autorizado para Puerto Rico y el Caribe.

Las oficinas,  tienda, taller de servicio y almacén se ubicaron en Arecibo. También se estableció una red de concesionarios autorizados  a través de toda la isla de Puerto Rico y algunas islas del Caribe, para la distribución efectiva de los Jet Skis en el territorio asignado.

En el 1991, luego de 5 años de una exitosa operación en ventas y servicio, Kawasaki Motors le concedió a Puerto Rico Jet Ski Center la ampliación de su linea de productos para incluir en adición a los Jet Skis, la entera línea de Motocicletas, Equipos de Utilidad,  Todo Terreno, así como “Power Products & Small Engines”.

Caribbean Kawasaki se enorgullece de representar la prestigiosa marca Kawasaki en Puerto Rico y el Caribe, a partir de entonces y hasta el dia de hoy.
